Original Dial Name
The Pisani Dial — named in honour of collector Marcello Pisani

The 1665s were delivered to COMEX from 1977 to 1981. The dials were quite distinctive and very different from the “white” Sea-Dweller. Only approximately 300 examples were delivered, with COMEX serial numbers running in the range of 2000–2300.

Of course there was the original dial with a 600m depth rating, and the replacement service dial with a 610m rating — an important distinction for collectors authenticating these watches today.

The original dial configuration on the COMEX 1665 is known as the Pisani Dial — named in honour of collector Marcello Pisani, a dear friend and tireless contributor to COMEX and Sea-Dweller research.
