Patek Philippe Supercomplicated Henry Graves sells $24,000,000.00 and more auction results.

Sotherby’s November 11, 2014 auction was highlighted by the sale of Patek Philippe Supercomplicated originally built for Henry Graves Jr. in 1933. The patek sold for a world record price of 24 million dollars USD including buyers premium. 



Also of interest was lot 337 a double reference submariner 5513/17 from 1975 with caseback numbers from 1978. This military submariner sold for approximately 90k USD. 




Christies had an auction in Geneva on November 10, 2014 and it included an interesting 6263 Paul Newman screw down case with a black dial and “Rolex Oyster Cosmograph” dial wich in the past have gained notariety as John Meyer Dials and assumed by some collectors not to be correct. Christies has documented that this watch is the only one that is correct from these black ROC PN dials.  Lot 498 sold for $479,705 USD.
